ManhattanLife Announces Launch of Home Health Care Enhanced

Houston, TXApril 13, 2026 — ManhattanLife has launched a new product, Home Health Care Enhanced, designed to provide meaningful financial support for extended care delivered in the home.

Building on the foundation of Home Health Care Select, the enhanced offering introduces expanded benefits, greater flexibility and broader eligibility to better meet the evolving needs of today’s policyholders and producers.

Home Health Care Enhanced is designed to complement other health coverage by helping offset out-of-pocket and uncovered expenses associated with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and home-based care. The product reflects growing demand for solutions that support extended care at home while reducing financial strain on individuals and families.

Key Enhancements

A standout feature of Home Health Care Enhanced is the new Homemaker Benefit, which allows policyholders to receive benefits for extended care provided by a trusted individual such as a family member, friend or neighbor. With no licensing requirements and a simple claims process, the benefit makes it easier for families to access care that feels personal and comfortable.

Additional enhancements include:

  • Expanded Eligibility (Ages 18–89): Wider age range provides access to younger individuals and families, enabling earlier planning and protection.
  • Enhanced Prescription Drug Benefits: New 90-day prescription benefits and reimbursement options for added convenience and value.
  • Increased Daily Benefit Amounts: Higher home health care aide benefit across all plan levels provides stronger financial protection.
  • 365-Day Benefit Availability: Daily benefits now available for up to a full year for the home health care aide benefit, offering extended support for longer-term care needs.

“It is imperative that we continually expand and refine our Individual product portfolio to support aging and recovery in place,” said Todd Z. Hayden, Chief Marketing Officer. “From institutional care to home-based services, consumer demand for home health care is shifting rapidly. By helping facilitate such care, these product enhancements serve to address the needs of our valued customers and distribution partners."

Supporting Care Where It Matters Most

As demand for home-based care continues to grow, Home Health Care Enhanced helps bridge gaps left by traditional insurance, reducing financial stress and allowing families to focus on care and time together.

The product is currently approved in 15 states, including Texas, Georgia, Arizona and North Carolina, with additional states expected.
